Awareness Ritual

A work that explores embodied energy, ritual, and magic through improvisational performance. Awareness Ritual is the culmination of explorations in improvisational dance through collaborative play with Yes Dance Theater Collective, a pop up art collective with Elise Voigt, Kathy V. Hodges, David Vitanza, Michaela Knox, and Sharoan Cohen performed Live at Camden amphitheater, Mechanics Hall, and Portland Promenade Park, Maine, Summer 2021. Conceived and directed by myself and constructed through group play with my collaborators, the work enacts an ritual of awareness, tuning into the subtle energies resonating between performers, archetypical props, and our creative muses.
