An experimental Travelogue / Thailand (2009)

In the fall of 2008 I traveled through Thailand out of a desire to have an experience of exploring unknown lands and alien cultures. I was looking for my heros journey and right of passage. To go on the grand adventure. While I was there I came down with a mysterious illness that effected my psychological, physiological, and spiritual energy fields in troubling and undiagnosable ways. This work is a travelogue of the video recorded through my journeys. It utilizes experimental editing techniques and hyper-cut montage to create a sense of rolling dream and wildly novel experiences that Thailand’s foreign culture mixed with my evolvingly strange subjective symptoms were engendering within me.
